On March 27, the International Theater Day, the “Golden Stage Crosses” award ceremony was held at the Klaipėda Drama Theater.

Severinas Norgaila, actor of the State Drama Theater of Šiauliai, won the “Golden Stage Cross” in the “Male role” category for the role of Ivar in the play “Flying Travolta” (director Toms Treinis). The actor dedicated the award to his grandmothers.

S. Norgaila was born in 1992 in Pakruoji, grew up in Bardiškės village (Pakruoji district). In 2015, he completed the Estrada art study program at the Šiauliai University Faculty of Arts.

In 2014-2015, he worked as an actor in the Kelmė small theater, since 2015 he has been a collaborator of the Šiauliai State Drama Theater, since 2016 he has been working as an actor in the Šiauliai State Drama Theater.

In 2023, the actor was awarded the title of “Favorite Actor of the Year” by the audience.

In 2022, S. Norgaila became the audience’s “Actor of the Year”, he was awarded a prize established by the sponsors for his youthful and inspiring role of Hamlet in the play “Man today – Hamletas” (dir. Ieva Stundžytė).

In 2021, the actor was awarded the Šiauliai UNESCO Club Prize and the Šiauliai City Municipality Prize. The actor’s roles have also been recognized with other awards, and in 2019 S. Norgaila was nominated for the “Golden Cross of the Stage” in the non-main role category for the role of the Stranger in E. Ionesco’s “The Perfect Match” (“The Perfect Match or with the New Year, Ionesco!”, directed by P Ignatavičius).
