German sporting goods maker Puma SE reported a modest quarter-quarter drop in net profit in the first quarter from a year earlier, as sales fell 4%.

According to the report, net profit fell 25.5% to 87.3 million. EUR, and the EBIT profit indicator – 9.4% to 159 million. Eur. Sales revenue decreased by 3.9% to 2.1 billion. Eur.

Sales in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) fell by 3.2%, in North America – by 4.6%, and in Asia Pacific – by 4.1%.

Global sales of sports footwear decreased by 2.4%, clothing – 6.1%, accessories – 5.1%.

Puma’s market capitalization has decreased by 6.8% since the beginning of this year to 6.77 billion. Eur.
