The blades and nacelles of the wind power plants travel to the future wind power park on the highway and the roads of Klaipėda, Raseiniai and Kelmė districts, where other necessary infrastructure installation works are already in full swing: laying cables, approaches, concreting power plant foundations.

Cargo of unusual size is transported from the port of Klaipėda at night in order to avoid traffic disturbances and inconvenience to local residents.

Each part of the wind farms is between 50 and more than 80 meters long, requiring special transport and road infrastructure preparation. For this reason, the company constantly invests in the infrastructure of the municipalities through which it transports the large-sized cargo needed for the wind park, its improvement and other works.

The wind park is being developed by Ignitis renewables in two stages, and a total of 44 turbines will be erected there. They will be tested in the first half of next year, and production is expected to start in the second half of 2025. The total power of the park will reach 300 megawatts (MW), and the electricity produced by it will be enough to supply 250 thousand people. households in Lithuania.
