The representative of the Netherlands did not appear at the Eurovision rehearsal held on Friday. Foreign media reports that he may face disqualification for inappropriate behavior with an Israeli representative during a press conference on Thursday.
Joost Klein was allegedly heard pressuring Israeli contestant Eden Golan to answer a question about her involvement in her country’s ongoing conflict with Hamas.
“We are currently investigating an incident involving a Dutch artist. He will not hold rehearsals until further notice, the press representative said. – We have no further comments at this time and will provide the latest information later.”
After all participating countries appeared in the final rehearsal, the audience missed the performance of the Netherlands. Joost Klein, considered one of the leaders, never took the stage.
