Recently, Indrė Stonkuvienė with her three children and her mother went on a long-awaited vacation and opened the season in a Turkish resort. The famous woman does not hide that it was not difficult to choose a direction, because when on vacation with children, she always considers their needs first.
“I really missed those sunny days. It was already that time when I needed a break from everything: my work, children’s studies, lessons, clubs and the routine itself. Such escapes are necessary for our family, after all, time together is the greatest value, and when we get stuck in the routine between all three children’s studies, sailing and our work with Vida, that uninterrupted time together is always in short supply.
In our family, at least once a year, we always fly somewhere together with the children and then they dictate the rules – their needs come first and we let them choose where to fly,” says Indrė Stonkuvienė, who stayed with her children at the newly located Papillon Ayscha Hotel in Antalya.
Indre says that when flying with a large family, she always follows the main rule – to find out the needs of all family members and make sure that the expectations for the vacation are met. Together with CoralTravel travel experts, the children’s vacation direction was dictated by the expectations of the little ones – warmth, swimming pool, and fun water activities.
“It is not difficult to plan with children, the most important thing for them is that there is something to do where we go, and most importantly, that there is a heated pool where they can spend the whole day. We always clearly plan who wants to do what. Francis and Cecilia love the water, so we were happy to choose a hotel that included a huge water park.
My children were the first to open the slides together with the lifeguards, they went to lunch only when they had a lunch break, then they came back and closed the slides together”, Indrė, who has tried all the water entertainment herself, tells about children’s recreation.
And although the daily schedule of the youngest children was very clear, she and her fiance Vidos Bareikis’ son Ada formed a different routine for the two of them.
“Sports is my recreation, just in a slightly different form, so I dutifully went to the gym five out of seven days. Here I will rest, and during the vacation I will slowly and unhurriedly recharge myself with new energy. Together with Ada, we did not forget about our habits during the vacation, so we spent our mornings in the gym only when we got up, when we went to brunch together and only then joined the fun of the mother and children on the water slide.
We enjoyed our quality time together, after all, Adas is not a small child anymore and he really could have chosen – to fly to Turkey with us or to go on vacation to the farmhouse we have on the seashore. It’s good to know that time is also important for our children”, smiles Indrė.
Indre’s plans for this year include more than one already planned trip. A women’s holiday with my mother and friends in Cyprus, a work trip to Ireland with the project “Dancing for Over Thirty” and a highly anticipated trip to America are coming soon. Indrė is intriguing – she promises to go to the latter country not only for a vacation – there, together with Vid, she also has goals and plans, which she keeps secret for now.
“Travel is a big part of my leisure and work. I think it is very important to plan your time in such a way that you can explore the world with your children and with your friends, and in the end – just the two of you. Balance is important everywhere. Every trip is different, but both when traveling with the whole family and with Vida, you always get good energy, positive emotions and get ready for new work, challenges and goals. It is very inspiring,” Indrė Stonkuvienė is convinced.
