At home, PSG’s star-studded Borussia came close to the Champions League final

The German club beat the opponents at home with a minimal margin – 1:0 (1:0).

The hosts started the match more actively, and Ousmane Dembele tried several times to threaten their goal with a shot from a distance, but he did so unsuccessfully.

Finally, Borussia striker Niclas Fulkrug scored a great goal in the 36th minute. The guests’ troubles did not end there – a few minutes later defender Lucas Hernandez was forced to leave the field due to an injury.

At the beginning of the second half, the Dortmund team had a few good luck – Kylian Mbappe and Achraf Hakimi shook the structure of the goal with powerful strikes, but the result remained unchanged.

After these episodes, both teams had several dangerous chances, but the numbers on the scoreboard eventually recorded a minimal victory for the hosts.

The Paris club controlled the ball longer – 57 percent. of all time, made more shots (14 vs. 13), but the Germans were a bit more accurate – they hit the ball into the goal area 4 times, while the opponents had three.

This was already the third confrontation between the teams this season – before that they fought each other in the group stage. The match then ended in a 1-1 draw in Germany, with PSG triumphing 2-0 at home.

The second leg in Paris will be played on May 7.

In the other semi-final, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are fighting – the first match between these teams ended in a 2-2 draw.
