The international construction business exhibition “RESTA 2024” – the largest construction business exhibition in the Baltic States – started today at LITEXPO. This time, it welcomes visitors with an extremely rich outdoor exhibition and a program as rich as ever. According to the organizers, the main highlights of the exhibition are sustainability, energy efficiency, green transformation and innovations in the construction sector.

The construction sector is waiting for an injection of government orders

Minister of the Environment of the Republic of Lithuania Simonas Gentvilas, who participated in the press conference of the opening of the exhibition, emphasized: “Exhibitions are important because leaders who shape the future of the sector meet here.”

The minister was pleased with the leadership of the Lithuanian construction sector in the field of digitization of construction and hinted at future state orders that should help businesses experiencing a slowdown in the residential construction sector not to lose growth.

“I think there will be a turning point in the second half of the year. There will be a lot of procurement and facilitation. From November, new building permit issuance procedures will come into force, which will significantly speed up processes for businesses,” said S. Gentvilas.
