Some car concerns announce that they will no longer produce cars with internal combustion engines, while Stellantis, on the contrary, invests and improves its engines and will create new ones.

True, these investments, in the vast majority of cases, will be directed to the South American market, where the cars of this concern are extremely popular. Stellantis currently occupies as much as a quarter of the new car market on the South American continent. In Brazil alone, every third new car purchased is manufactured in the plants of the Stellantis concern.

It is announced that in the next five years, the concern will create as many as 40 different modifications, new and updated internal combustion engines for the most diverse models. It is possible that some of them will be intended not only for South but also for North America, as well as the European market.

Most of these investments are for internal combustion engines that will be able to use ethanol, that is, a green fuel. The concern is also developing an automatic gearbox of its own design with a double clutch, similar to the DSG gearbox of the Volkswagen concern.

It is believed that the first copies will debut on the market at the end of this year.
