On May 6-8, the Lithuanian army exercises “Thunder Bastion 24” will be held in Vilnius and Kaunas. During the exercise, the cooperation and interaction of armed forces units, military commandants and state and municipal institutions, institutions and organizations during mobilization and martial law will be practiced, as well as property requisitioning and curfew announcement. After information about the introduction of curfew appeared in the public, we decided to ask Vilnius residents what they think about it.

More than half of the respondents, 58 percent. (829 residents) believe that there is no need to introduce a curfew in Vilnius. 27 percent disagree with them. of respondents (381 inhabitants) who believe that a curfew should be introduced.

Another 5 percent (77 votes) agrees to introduce a curfew, but only on non-working days. Another 10 percent (139 votes) say that this issue is irrelevant for them.

The MadeinVilnius.lt survey took place from Monday, April 22, to Friday, April 26. A total of 1426 readers of the portal participated in it.

During the exercise in Vilnius, Viršuliškės and Paneri, the movement of military units and police raids will take place. The soldiers, together with the shooters, will train to control the territory without the police, they will stop the transport intended only for the exercise, and they will also perform the protection of some objects. A curfew will be announced in a certain area. Active actions are planned during the dark hours of the day, so the residents will not experience any inconvenience due to the organized exercises.
