The administration of the Alytus city municipality invites residents to submit applications for the collection of waste products containing asbestos.
Who can apply?
Owners of individual houses planning 2024-2025. changing slate (asbestos) roofs or having already changed and accumulating asbestos-containing product waste.
What should be included in the information?
The information must include the owner(s) or manager of the individual building, address, telephone number, and the actual accumulated/planned amount of asbestos-containing product waste.
Where to stack the waste?
We would like to inform you in advance and ask you to stack the waste for removal in a place where a large truck can reach.
What are the available packages?
Available packages – waste is stacked on euro trays, in large bags with loops or in other packages that could be mechanically lifted and loaded into a large-sized vehicle.

Requests from residents regarding the bypass collection of waste products containing asbestos are accepted by e-mail. by mail [email protected].

During 2023 Aly people safely removed more than 110 tons of asbestos-containing waste from their environment. The collection, transportation and disposal of hazardous waste harmful to health is compensated from the state budget. Alytus city municipality signed a new service provision contract with Ecoservice UAB. The municipality finances only the management of asbestos waste generated in the private households of the residents of the city of Alytus.
