Disappointing when the weekend starts
Although Paulius grew up in a family of farmers, his love for cars has been in his blood since childhood. True, the first contact with his beloved activity was made on a computer screen – when he was 10 years old, he started learning to work with the Photoshop program and created logos for companies, stickers for four-wheelers, signboards and posters.
In Beaugant, not only the relationship with cars was changing, but also the needs – Paulius realized that there was no place where cars were repaired in his native land. While still at school, the man met current team member Renald, and the men, who became friends, began to dream of establishing a car service together. They only talked about it for a while, but when they found an advertisement for the premises for sale, they decided to renovate them and go into business.
“Dad scolded me for straying from the farm,” laughs Paulius. – We are 3 brothers in the family, we used to save our parents and save them as much as we could, but we create our own history separately”, shared the opinion of a resident of Pasvaly.
Paulius always knew that he wanted to do a job that he would be happy to go to when Monday came – this dream came true a little more than a year ago. The man who opened the car service is open – he is more disappointed now when the weekend starts, and not the other way around.
The queue is a month ahead
A car service was opened – the first in Pasvaly. The agenda is filled not only by local residents, but also by people from Biržai, Pakruoj or other neighboring areas.
“The turn is a month ahead. This is a kick for us to look for more specialists, but the problem lies here: it is easy to find a mechanic, but a good mechanic is very difficult,” said Paulius.
Pasvalietis says that at least several times a month the services of a car service are needed for tow trucks traveling on the main road “Via Baltica”. However, the man thought about this even before establishing the business. Paulius baptized the car repair shop with the name “Proauta” – so that even foreigners can easily understand what services are provided here.
“We mostly rescue Lithuanians, but there are also Poles, Latvians and Estonians. My brother has an accommodation business, so everything is connected nicely – a person comes to a car service, but also gets accommodation”, said the man about the peculiarities of the business.
It is true that car repair is not the only service that Paulius and his team can offer. As the man says, tools and cars are also rented to customers, and very soon a store will open its doors in the same premises – it will sell not only car parts, but also motorcycle parts.
“We want to bring to Pasvalis what is not there. We are thinking of making it so that the person who leaves the car here receives full care, including chemical cleaning or polishing. It will be a fortress,” Paulius shared his expectations for the future.
Found an activity for the puzzled
Pasvaliet is open – without the family’s help, it would have been difficult to do as much as has been done to date. In nurturing the business, everyone contributes – brothers, father and mother, who manages the company’s accounting.
“We are such a family – if we need help, we all run to do it. I think this is the secret of why everything works out so well. There are quarrels when opinions do not agree, but in the end, in the evening, when we sit down for coffee, we can all laugh,” Paulius smiled.
Although it is not often possible to break away from work, when a man finds time, he engages in one activity, especially close to his heart, which helps him relax. This is motocross. It is true that this activity is also related to the concept of the business being developed, as previously the residents of Pasvalis had to send the parts needed for motorcycle maintenance from other cities.
“We ride dirt bikes, quad bikes, we have many friends who are also involved in these activities. The older brother was the first to discover it – he bought his first motorcycle and started participating in competitions. I was just an observer until I bought a motorcycle myself a few years ago.
This is a puzzle sport for people who are looking for an adrenaline rush. When you feel stressed, this is a good way to relax. After rising to a height of 4-5 meters, you don’t think about anything else, only how to get down,” said the resident of Pasvaly.
