“I want to share a situation that tarnishes the name of Lithuania abroad. In the USA, the beer produced by “Rinkuskiu” in Zhigulevska is sold under Russian labels”, stated the received letter and shared the captured photo.

The reader testified that he contacted the company himself, but considered that it is possible that the company is trying to disguise its connections with the occupiers.

Delphi contacted Vidu Mezenskas, export manager of “Rinkuškiai” brewery. He assured that the mentioned product is a trademark of a US company.

“The beer was brewed and bottled for the US market. This brand does not belong to Rinkuški, but the manufacturer must be indicated in the mandatory labeling of the label, therefore it is indicated where the beer is produced and bottled – in the Rinkuški brewery.

The beer was brewed and shipped to the US back in 2021. at the end of October, when no one knew about the war and the whole world still believed that Russia would one day be a normal country,” V. Mezenskas testified.

He also added that the product does not show the expiration or production date, but the batch number.

“That’s exactly how this private label product was labeled,” he said.

True, this year, as he testified, not a single container with this product has been sent to the United States.

“After February 24, 2022, we we immediately stopped the supply of goods and terminated all contracts with customers in the aggressor country and Belarus. Such a decision was unquestionably made by the company’s shareholders in the very first days of the war,” he confirmed.
