Annual (April 2024 compared to April 2023) inflation calculated according to HICP was 0.4 percent, calculated according to CPI – 0.1.
The annual inflation, calculated according to the HICP, was mainly influenced by the increase in the prices of pharmaceutical products, catering services of restaurants, cafes and similar establishments, tobacco products, maintenance and repair of cars, personal vehicles, fuel and lubricants, and electricity, solid fuel, gas, decrease in heat energy prices.
According to the State Data Agency, the change in the prices of consumer goods and services in 2024 in April, compared to March, it was 0.3 percent. The change in the prices of consumer goods and services calculated according to the CPI amounted to 0.1 percent.
Lithuanian industrial production prices remained the same in April
The prices of industrial production sold by manufacturers, excluding refined oil products, did not change in April this year, reports the State Data Agency.
It is announced that the biggest influence on the prices was the increase in the prices of chemicals and chemical products (1.4%) and the decrease in the prices of electricity, gas, steam supply and air conditioning (1.9%).
According to the agency, the prices of industrial production sold on the Lithuanian market decreased by 0.1 percent during the month, excluding refined oil products – by 0.2 percent.

Food products became more expensive by 0.5 percent, of which condiments and condiments went up by 3.5 percent, milk and cheeses by 2.5 percent, breadcrumbs and cookies by 2.1 percent, but ice cream went down by 8.4 percent. , ready meals and dishes – 5.5 percent, tea and coffee – 2.3 percent.
The prices of industrial production sold outside the Lithuanian market increased by 0.1 percent during the month, excluding refined oil products – by 0.3 percent.
The prices of industrial production sold on the euro zone market decreased by 0.9 percent during the month, and on the non-euro zone market – increased by 1 percent.
During the year (April 2024 compared to April 2023), the prices of all industrial products sold by manufacturers decreased by 0.8 percent, excluding refined petroleum products by 2.4 percent.
The prices of industrial production sold on the Lithuanian market decreased by 2.7 percent during the year, excluding refined oil products – by 4 percent.
The prices of industrial production sold outside the Lithuanian market increased by 0.8 percent during the year, excluding refined oil products, decreased by 0.9 percent.
The prices of industrial production sold on the euro zone market increased by 2.6 percent during the year, and on the non-euro zone market – decreased by 0.3 percent.
