Avion Express, one of the world’s leading ACMI (aircraft charter, maintenance and insurance) services, has entered into a partnership with international pilot training company BAA Training. These two companies belonging to the Avia Solutions Group will train new pilots using the world’s most advanced real flight simulator, the Airbus FFS A320 CEO/NEO. It is planned that it will be used by Avion Express pilots for 6,000 hours a year, with the rest being available to other BAA Training pilots.

It will allow Avion Express to train the required number of pilots more efficiently, and BAA Training will help to remain one of the leading independent pilot training centers in Europe, whose service quality is trusted by the world’s largest airlines.

As Avion Express CEO Darius Kajokas says, the long-term partnership regarding the use of the simulator for airline training needs is an extremely important and well-calculated step that will allow for more stable planning of future development and even better response to the training needs of its pilots.

“We have been growing at a tremendous pace for the past few years. Currently, we already have 600 pilots in our team. If we want to grow further, we must create a smooth system for training new specialists and ensure that existing pilots get the most comfortable conditions for improving their competences. We ensure the highest level of standards for the airlines we work with. A well-prepared crew is essential for this. We highly value the partnership with one of the strongest training centers BAA Training, he says.
According to the manager of Avion Express, it will be possible to plan training at a convenient time, regardless of external factors and adapting to the needs of its pilots.

For his part, BAA Training CEO Marijus Ravoitis emphasizes that the Airbus A320 CEO/NEO real flight simulator will help the company further strengthen its position in the extremely competitive aviation training market.

“The partnership with Avion Express perfectly reflects our main operating principles – to provide our customers with the highest quality training infrastructure and to offer solutions that meet their specific needs.” As a result, we constantly invest in our technological capabilities and the quality of training,” he teaches.

“BAA Training” has pilot training centers in Lithuania, Spain, France and Vietnam. Currently, the main flying base of the initial pilots is in Spain, where in 2024 in the second half, a second base is planned to be opened, where the newly purchased 48 Cessna Skyhawks aircraft will mainly be operated. The company recently introduced the new pilot training program “Pilot Runway”, which will be implemented together with “Avion Express” and other ACMI airlines belonging to “Avia Solutions Group” in Slovakia.
