“Toksika” received 7.5 million in 2023. EUR sales revenue, earned 317.5 thousand. EUR net profit. in 2023 EBITDA amounted to 1.507 million Eur. Dividends of EUR 238,148 will be paid to shareholders for the year 2023.

“The year 2023 was characterized by high inflation and base interest rates rising to the highest level in the last decade. All of these factors led to the stagnation of the Lithuanian economy. “Toksika” also felt it – in 2023. reduced industrial production also resulted in 13% lower hazardous waste flows. However, the efficiently organized work of the hazardous waste incinerator by the company’s employees allowed a record amount of incineration to be disposed of during the year – as much as 11 thousand. t – waste. Efforts to make activities more efficient, increase productivity and expand the range of activities allowed to reach 7.5 million. EUR sales revenue and 20.2% EBITDA profitability and to fulfill all strategic goals”, said Normantas Marius Dvareckas, Chairman of the Board of Toksika UAB.

The general director of “Toksikas” Arūnas Dirvinskas was pleased with last year’s waste management indicators. In 2023, 16,093 tons of hazardous waste were collected, 19,606 tons of hazardous waste were processed, of which 11,059 tons were safely burned in the hazardous waste incineration plant, producing electricity.

“Responsible maintenance of the power plant, innovative solutions and investments bore fruit – the power plant worked non-stop for 13 months for the first time. Last year, we fulfilled our environmental commitments. The company handled hazardous waste safely, and the total annual pollutant emission of the incinerator did not even reach 40% of the permitted annual rate,” said Arūnas Dirvinskas.

The general director of “Toksikas” singled out the built 3.86 MW “Erelios solar park” as a significant event of 2023. The solar park is built on the closed landfill of leather industry waste maintained by “Toksikas” and not suitable for any other commercial activity in Šiauliai district. With this project, Toksika found an alternative profitable use for assets that cannot be used in waste management activities. The green electricity production capacity created offsets part of the carbon dioxide emissions emitted by the waste incineration plant.

In 2023, the company continued to adhere to high standards of transparency, quality and efficiency of strategic planning, and achieved the highest A+ value of the good governance index of state-owned enterprises in all areas of index evaluation. In 2023, the Management Coordination Center recognized Toksika as the leader in strategic planning and implementation among all state-owned companies.

In the 2023 competition of the National Responsible Business Awards, Toksika was recognized as the year’s most community-oriented and environmentally friendly company in the category of medium-sized companies. This is the fourth year in a row that Toksika has won awards in this competition.

Looking to the year 2024, the general director of Toksikos emphasizes a new task – to successfully integrate the activities of the new subsidiary GVT LT and Toksikos. The head of “Toksikas” claims that the company is becoming a bigger, stronger company. Toksika and GVT LT, which belong to the same management structure, will strive for a synergy effect, offer new services, apply the best available waste management methods, and respond more efficiently and quickly to possible emergency situations.
