Estonians took the initiative of the match already in the first half of the match, when in the 13th minute they used a 5-3 quantitative advantage of the players with an excellent team play, and Robert Rooba sent the puck into the goal. In the second half of the match, the game was close and neither team managed to score.

The game became much more open in the last third of the match. In the 10th minute, Daniilas Fursa doubled the Estonian lead, but just a couple of minutes later, the Chinese representatives also showed their teeth – Yuyang Hou scored a goal in the 12th minute. Next, the Estonian team defended disciplinedly, while the Chinese tried to pressure their opponents more and more.

In the end, they decided to throw all their efforts into the attack and play without a goalie, but recklessly lost the puck and R. Rooba, the author of the first goal, closed the game with a shot into an empty net.

This match was essentially the mini-final of the tournament, with either team winning the final third place in the standings.

The last battle of the tournament will start at 7:30 p.m., when Lithuanian and Ukrainian ice hockey players will compete for gold. Both teams are undefeated so far – 4 wins and 0 losses.
