Almost two weeks ago in Brooklyn (USA), the WBC second lightweight world champion, a 25-year-old American Devin Haney (31-1, 15 KOs) suffered the first loss of his career when he fell by knockdown three times and lost by majority decision (112-112, 110-114, 109-115) to his fellow American to Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs), though he was docked a point.

Urine samples were taken before the fight and it was only now that he tested positive for the performance-enhancing substance ostarine. R. Garcia denies his guilt, the agency representing him blocked the American.

However, other representatives of the world of combat sports reacted very angrily to this scandal. D. Haney noted that it is not possible to “play” with prohibited substances in combat sports, because here, after using doping, you can kill a person.

Meanwhile, the Irishman Conor McGregor stated that R. Garcia should be disqualified for “life”.

“He exceeded the weight limit and also used doping – for that he should be disqualified for life. It is sad and disgusting to see such things. Ryan, if you ever see me again, you better not come near me. If I were Haney’s father, you’d be dead by now. It’s crazy. What happened to you, you fool? Hurry up, because if you don’t, I’ll elbow you out of your mind,” wrote C. McGregor angrily.

At the same time, the Irishman praised D. Haney: “Kudos to you, Devin. Your performance became even more heroic after this news.”

C. McGregor also reacted to by Charles Oliveira a statement that he would like to be a backup Irish and by Michael Chandler a fighter who would replace one of the fighters if something unforeseen happened.

“I can crush you both in one night. I wouldn’t even sweat it. I would smash you both in one round,” the Irishman snapped.
