The pro-Kremlin youth movement Molodaya Gvardija (Young Guard) said that more than 5,000 people demonstrated outside the embassies of 20 “unfriendly” countries, such as the United States, France, Germany and Poland. people.

These countries “support Ukraine … and also actively supply lethal weapons to the Ukrainian regime,” the movement said.

An AFP reporter saw about 400 activists gather outside the US embassy in Moscow, holding placards reading “Crimea with Russia forever” and “United States, you are sowing death.”

“With the use of these weapons, peaceful Crimea can be shelled and it is already being done,” Anton Demidov, head of the youth movement, told AFP news agency.

“Those countries that supply lethal weapons, we consider them complicit in this crime,” he added.

According to an AFP journalist, a similar demonstration involving around 200 people was held outside the British embassy.

Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula from Ukraine in 2014, holding a so-called referendum that was never recognized by Kyiv or the West.
