Agnes Lasalle, 53, was murdered on February 22 at a private Catholic school in Saint-Jean-de-Luz. A 16-year-old stabbed the teacher in the chest in front of the whole class during Spanish class.
As reported by the local TV channel, the teenager had hidden the knife wrapped in toilet paper. After the attack, he ran from the room, but was caught and disarmed by other teachers.
The 16-year-old is said to have told investigators during questioning that he “was possessed”. He allegedly “heard voices” that told him to kill the teacher the night before the murder. Police said the student suffered from depression and was being treated by psychiatrists, but had no history of conflict with law enforcement. There was no indication that he had any personal hatred towards the teacher.

Colleagues responded very warmly about the murdered teacher, saying that she was very dedicated to her work.
Although the whole of France knew about the teacher’s death, the funeral on March 3, at the request of her relatives, was private. However, a video of them went viral on social media.
And not just for myself. Stephane Voirin, the woman’s life partner, starts dancing in front of the coffin of his beloved.
A French version of ‘LOVE’ from the 1960s plays in the background and he spins as if dancing with a partner. At first, the man dances alone, but soon he is joined by couples who have gathered for the funeral – more than 20 people in total.
According to French media, Stephane Voirin and Agnes Lasalle loved dancing together and this song was one of their favourites.
