The average price of gasoline in Lithuania did not change during the week, while diesel fuel fell by one cent, and it continues to cost less than in Poland, according to the review of fuel price changes published by the Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) on Thursday.
On May 22, a liter of gasoline in Lithuania cost an average of 1.48 euros, while the price of diesel fuel reached 1.30 euros.
In Poland, the price of gasoline also did not change during the week and amounted to 1.44 euros, diesel fuel in this country decreased by one cent and cost 1.35 euros.
LEA notes that fuel in Lithuania continues to be the cheapest in the Baltic countries.
In Latvia, gasoline and diesel fuel rose in price by one cent during the week – up to 1.6 and 1.42 euros, respectively. At that time, the prices of gasoline and diesel fuel in Estonia did not change during the week and remained at 1.7 and 1.5 euros, respectively.
In Germany, the price of gasoline and diesel rose by 1 cent during the week – to 1.85 euros and 1.59 euros, respectively.
As noted by LEA, compared to the same period a year ago, the average price of diesel in Lithuania decreased by 47 cents, while gasoline became cheaper by 38 cents.
From May 1 to 22, the wholesale price of gasoline increased by almost 2 cents, diesel decreased by 0.3 cents.
Brent oil fell by 0.4 percent during the week. and averaged 75.8 US dollars per barrel, the price of Urals fell by 1 percent. to USD 56.6.
