The conversation with the authors will be conducted by catechist Holger Lahayne.

In response to the question raised almost half a century ago by Robert William Scribner about the importance of research into the social history of the Reformation – “is there a social history of the Reformation” – in the book Between Vocation and Profession. Evangelical Reformed Clergy in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania in the 16th-18th centuries” is analyzed in the 16th century LDK. the collective portrait of the newly formed social groups – the evangelical reformed clergy.
The social and professional foundations of those who chose the path of the clergy, their legal status, and the development of their ecclesiastical career were discussed. The issue of clergy marriage, financial situation was examined. What did it mean to be an evangelical reformed clergyman in the LDK, and in a state that did not become a Protestant state, how was the sense of self-awareness of the clergy working in difficult conditions formed, what inspired him – this is another group of questions that this study also tried to answer.
