The prestigious WTA 1000 series “Miami Open” women’s tennis tournament continues in Miami (USA).

The Italian lost the second round match Camila Giorgosi (WTA-44). She 3:6, 1:6 lost to Victoria Azarenka.

After the defeat, C. Giorgi was very angry and did not have much desire to shake hands with her opponent. Still, according to tennis etiquette, the Italian did it, but the handshake was one of the coldest ever seen on court. C. Giorgi only looked into V. Azarenka’s eyes for a moment and immediately pushed her hand, almost hitting the neutral athlete in the face.

In the next match, the Spaniard Paula Badosa (WTA-29) 7:6 (7:2), 4:6, 6:2 defeated the German Laura Siegemund (WTA-114). In the third set, when P. Badosa was leading 3:0, L. Siegemund asked for a medical break. The German’s physiotherapist didn’t appear on the court for a very long time, and when he finally did, he led the German away from the audience to help her with a sore thigh.

P. Badosa, not wanting to “cool down”, was looking for someone who could hit the ball with her. One of the ball servers agreed to do this. The man played with P. Badosa for a little more than a minute, and his performance became a fun entertainment for the gathered fans.
