May 31 – 9 June The NATO Regional Integrated Air Defense System Exercise “Ramstein Legacy 2022” is taking place in the Baltic States and Poland. The exercises will take place simultaneously in the territories of the Baltic States and Poland and in the airspace. The exercise is combined with other NATO exercises “Ramstein Alloy” and “Ramstein Guard”. The main objective of the exercise is to strengthen cooperation, interoperability and integration of the NATO Air Defense Forces into the overall NATO air defense command structure. The planned number of exercise participants in Lithuania is about 330 soldiers from Lithuania, Hungary and the USA.

In Šiauliai region, during the exercise, there is a chance to see and hear the fighters of the allies. The exercise will also include the Air Force C27J Spartan, AS365N3 + Dauphin and Mi-8T helicopters, Scan-Eagle drones, NASAMS medium and short-range air defense systems, and the American short-range mobile air defense system.
