The first international military orchestra festival “Military Tattoo Lithuania 2022” will start in Lithuania on Saturday at Vilniaus Katedros aikštėje.

It is intended to commemorate the Freedom Day, when 29 years ago the occupying Russian army was withdrawn from the territory of Lithuania.

According to the army’s announcement, it thanked the Lithuanian society for its support of its military and NATO allies.

On Saturday, the festival will begin with a celebration of NATO military orchestras from Belgium, the United States of America, Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, the Netherlands and the German parade from Lukiški Square to the Cathedral.

Pasirodymų metu for the orchestra will have nasionalinius ir internazionalnio priznažniimo sulaukusius popular works, žygiuos, formuos gyvovisio piešinius.

The event will also feature Garbės sargybos kuopa su defilė programa, senovinio pabūklo šaudymo team. At the end of the performance, Marijonas Mikutavičius will present a new piece of music dedicated to the Lietuvos kariuomeni, which will be played by the entire military orchestra.

On Sunday, the performance of the NATO military orchestras in Katedro Square will last four hours – from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Due to this color, traffic will be restricted in the center of the capital, and public transport schedules will be changed.

Saturday 19–20 h. traffic will be prohibited on Gedimino prospekt nuo J. Tumo-Vaižganto iki Šventaragio gatvės, o 19–22 h. – T. Vrublevskio, Šventaragio, Barboros Radvilaitės gatvese ir Maironio gatvės dalyje (nuo Barboros Radvilaitės iki Užupio gatvės), including the purpose of viešajůj transportą živinės transliacijos metu.

Sunday 13:00–18:00 The movement of vehicles will be temporarily prohibited in T. Vrublevskio, Šventaragio, Barboros Radvilaitės gatvese and Maironio gatvės (nuo Barboros Radvilaitės iki Užupio gatvės), except public transport.
