Nikolai, Aliaksandr Lukashenko’s 17-year-old son, more commonly referred to simply as Kolia on social media, graduated with a “gold medal.” Filmed footage of him retrieving his certificate, the virus spreading on the Russian-speaking Internet. The photos and videos were also published on the Belarusian state television channel ONT.

“The most famous graduate, the president’s son Nicholas, also received a graduation certificate today and attended a graduation party,” ONT said.

The TV channel also showed all the graduates together: most of the students chose modest shades of clothing, while Nicholas wore a bright blue suit.

Some Internet users pointed out that a high school graduate in a yellow dress was standing next to Koli, so the colors of the clothes of these young people standing together reminded them of the national flag of Ukraine.

Some commentators joked that the girl in the yellow dress was probably built by villains near Koli.

Followers of Telegram’s Anton S Live speculated that the high school graduate near Kolia would not have any inconvenience later. They also discussed whether Lukashenko’s son could have deliberately sent a secret signal in this way.

“You don’t go to jail for blue-yellow clothes, do you?” Asked one telegram user.

“I wonder if the girls dressed in yellow will not sit down for trying to discredit Batka’s son?” Another Internet user asked.

“It has been written everywhere that he will combine clothing with his classmates. It seems to me that the young Kolia sent us a signal, “the third commentator speculated.

At the time, the Belarusian leader in his greeting urged young people to go to work “on time” and give birth to children, promising that life would be easier after school.

Mr Lukashenko congratulated the students on the graduation ceremony, which was also being celebrated by his own son, Nicholas. The video was posted on YouTube by the Belarusian state television channel ONT.

According to Lukashenko, learning at school is very difficult because you have to learn things you don’t like and at the same time gain a lot of knowledge from different fields. After graduation, such suffering ends and graduates can already study their chosen profession.

“The second, most difficult stage of your life is over. The first was a kindergarten, and now a school. It will definitely be easier from now on. But only if you outline your way forward accurately and correctly. You will only have to deal with one or maybe two or three things. “If you define your path precisely, you will do interesting things,” Lukashenko said.

The head of state also advised young people – school leavers, university graduates and students – to do everything on time: to study or study, choose an activity, go to work, start a family and have children. Mr Lukashenko called on them not to do so immediately, because “other things could take over”.
