Suspected of links to Hezbollah

The scandal of the Polish energy giant “Orlen” due to the alleged transfer of 400 million for oil products to fraudsters. dollars are coming in more and more. At first, Poland was shocked by the fact that the money disappeared altogether, and the oil products never reached Orlen.

And now it turns out that the former head of Orlen’s subsidiary in Switzerland, through which a huge amount disappeared, is possibly connected to the terrorist group Hezbollah operating in Lebanon and supported by Iran.

“All the circumstances known to the prosecutors, including possible connections with terrorist organizations, will be investigated,” promised Malgorzata Adamajtys, Warsaw’s chief prosecutor.

Polish authorities have only released the name of the former manager of the Orlen Trading Switzerland subsidiary, who is suspected of having links to terrorists. This is Samer A., ​​who is from Lebanon and has Polish citizenship.

The list of suspects is growing

Daniel Obajtek, the former manager of Orlen, was also targeted by the Polish authorities. At the behest of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the country’s prosecutors and secret services were also investigating his connections with Hezbollah.

“The matters related to Orlen are very important for national security, as well as for energy security. For this reason, we take everything extremely seriously and consider it a priority,” asserted Polish Chief Prosecutor Dariusz Korneluk.

The Polish prosecutor’s office says that Orlen, which also produces fuel in Lithuania, established a subsidiary in Switzerland despite warnings not to do so. It turns out that for the 400 million Orlen Trading Switzerland tried to buy oil products from Venezuela, which has good relations with Iran.
