Formula 1 continues to seriously consider changing the existing points system.
According to motorsport.com, points are currently being considered for all drivers who finish the race up to 20th.
Williams team manager James Vowles commented on this situation: “I think changing the points system is a logical step, but there are still many questions: how to change it?” Give points to 12th, 14th, 16th place riders or just everyone?
