The National Basketball Association (NBA) has announced 78 young talents who are invited to the “Draft Combine” camp and will appear for the league’s clubs before the upcoming draft.
Mantos Rubštavičius, who will participate in this year’s stock exchange, is not on the list, but he received a lot of attention as a candidate for the highest drafts Matas Buzelis.
During the camp, players will provide their medical history, undergo detailed physical measurements, play several exhibition matches and have individual interviews with club representatives. Players who do not accept an invitation to the Draft Combine without valid reason will forfeit their opportunity to participate in the draft.
Camp participants were selected by NBA clubs themselves, who will have different access to players this time. According to the clubs’ requests, the first draft is predicted for the Frenchman Alexandre Sarr, the teams with the first ten drafts will be able to analyze his detailed data.
The owners of the first 15 drafts will be able to work with the information of the players ranked 2-6. M. Buzelis also made it to this list, together with Stephon Castle, Donovan Clingan, Zaccharie Risacher and Nikola Topičius.
Rob Dillingham, Ron Holland, Dalton Knecht and Reed Sheppard rounded out the top ten.
The 19-year-old, 208 cm tall Lithuanian spent this season in the NBA G League “Ignite” team and collected 14.3 points (27 percent three-pointers), 6.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.1 blocks in 32 minutes.
The NBA draft will start on June 27, M. Buzelis claims to be one of the first draft picks, M. Rubštavičius hopes to be called in the second round.
