T. Alenčikas spoke about the decision to change his stage name on the social network Instagram. He also indicated the reason for this decision.
“One week at Lion Ceccah. It was a tough decision, but once I made it I haven’t looked back. Although fear and mourning accompanied me throughout this period. The fear of not being understood and the mourning of the part of me that I said goodbye to.
Alen Chicco was and will be that part of me that kept me on the scene and started doing crazy projects, but it’s time for this side of me to rest and give way to the other side, which has been spreading little by little for several years. Change is difficult, but it is even more difficult to serve the reality you created and believed in, when at that time it no longer serves you.
From now on, the name of Alen Chicco remains the basis of everything and my projects and mature axis. But this name is drawn to background, giving way to a new version of himself, Lion Ceccah. And I mention the stage for a reason, because this is where I will initiate the biggest change. I will be back on it soon and everything I release will be in Lion Ceccah’s name. And offstage I will never tell anyone what to call me, whether it’s my birth name Tom or Alen Chicco or the new alter ego or a cat You can call me whatever you want because I am all in one.
Lion Ceccah is the side of me that I hid for a long time – sexy, too open and wild. But in the good sense of the word. We Lithuanians, as a nation, are people who do not say anything completely. Lion Ceccah aims to draw attention to things that are unspoken, uncomfortable and often taken for granted. Lion Ceccah “in itself” nonsense!
