The thrilling showdown between the Knicks and 76ers was full of drama and incredible script changes throughout the series, and the sixth battle between the teams was no different.

The New Yorkers, coming off a blowout victory in the bottom of the fifth game, got off to a fantastic start and took a 17-4 lead with just over four minutes to play.

The Knicks took one possession after another on offense after their missed shots, and three three-pointers by Donte DiVincenzo and a great start by Jalen Brunson allowed his team to lead as much as 33-11 in the first half. It was the Knicks’ largest lead of the series.

But the Sixers did not break. The team’s quarterback, Nick Nurse, blew the dust and threw in a sniper Buddy Hield, who had not been a part of the series before, and he began to shoot 3-pointers, and the Philadelphia team went on an 11-0 run in the first quarter.

The home team continued their excellent streak into the second quarter, extending it to 30:10 and after B. Hield’s fifth three-pointer, the Knicks started breathing – 41:43.

Finally, the “76ers” managed to change the result and after two quarters they were already in the lead – 54:51.

Joel Embiid opened the third quarter with two 3-pointers, followed by Game 5 hero Tyrese Maxey to give the 76ers their first double-digit lead, 71-61.

But this time, the “Knicks” guys showed their iron nerves. They managed not to break a difficult moment and after three quarters the result was already equal – 83:83.

The scoreboard was tied even in the middle of the fourth quarter (95:95), but then J. Brunson took the initiative by hitting two three-pointers and scoring 10 points in three minutes, and after OG Anunoby’s layup through J. Embiid, the Knicks had an 8-point lead with less than for three minutes – 109:101.

However, as before in this series, this did not mean the end. “Sixers” quickly began to dissolve the advantage of opponents, and T. Maxey’s two-pointer with a foul with 35 seconds left. equalized the result – 111:111.

On the Knicks’ most important drive of the game, Brunson was double-checked in front of him and found a free Josh Hart, who nailed a key 3-pointer with 24 seconds left. returned the advantage to New York (114:111).

In the remaining time, the 76ers were unable to make a ready-made three-pointer, the Knicks’ players made free throws, and the New Yorkers celebrated an impressive victory.

This is the second straight time New York will have its team in the Eastern Conference semifinals. This was not the case since 1998-1999 and 1999-2000. seasons.

J. Brunson, who has been playing incredibly this season, led the Knicks to victory again. He scored as many as 41 points (10/19 doubles, 3/8 triples, 12/16 penalties) and made 12 assists, while resting only 5 minutes.

Even after 35.5 points, the 27-year-old 188 cm guard leads the entire NBA in scoring in these playoffs.

For a place in the Eastern Finals, the Knicks will face the Indiana Pacers, who also defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 4-2 in the first round of the playoffs.

In turn, the leader of the 76ers, J. Embiid, continues to remain in 10 years without ever going beyond at least the second round of the playoffs and without playing in the conference finals.
