On May 7-9, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., it will be possible to vote in all 60 municipalities.

Voters can vote at any early voting location, regardless of where they have declared their place of residence.

As informed by the Central Election Commission (CEC), the Vilnius City Municipality will be waiting for voters who will vote in advance in four places: the Vilnius City Municipality building (Konstitucijos pr. 3), Vilnius University Business School (Saulėtekio al. 22), A. Sakharov Square near the Press House and in Lukiškiau Square in the city center.

Vilnius District Municipality will invite voters to two polling places, in the municipality building (Rinktinės St. 50) and Nemenčinės Culture Center (Švenčionių St. 12, Nemenčinės).

Due to the planned exercises, voting will not be organized in Kaunas city municipality building (Laisvės al. 96). Voters who want to vote in the temporary capital will be welcomed at the building of Vytautas the Great University (28 S. Daukant St.) and at the Kaunas District Municipality building (371 Savanorių Ave.).

In Klaipėda, voting will take place in the Klaipėda City Municipality Building (Liepų St. 11) until election day.

On May 8-10, voting will be organized in hospitals, social care and welfare institutions, military units and places of execution of sentences.

On May 10-11, members of the election commissions will organize voting in the houses of voters. Voters with disabilities, people who care for them at home, people unable to work due to illness and voters aged 70 and over can vote at home.

CEC reminds that 7 hours before the start of voting on election day, the period of prohibition of election campaigning comes into force. The ban on election campaigning will be effective from May 12. midnight until the end of voting in the elections and the referendum, i.e. May 12. 8 p.m.

The most important document for a voter when going to vote is an identity document: passport or identity card. The CEC informs that other documents issued in the Republic of Lithuania containing the voter’s photo and personal identification number are also suitable: driver’s license, diplomatic passport, etc.

The main day of the election of the President of the Republic and the referendum on the amendment of Article 12 of the Constitution is May 12, Sunday. The doors of the polling station will open at 7 a.m. and voters will be waiting until 8 p.m. in the evening.

On election Sunday, it will be possible to vote in the Republic resident elections and referendum in any polling station, in total – 1895 places throughout Lithuania.

During the first round of presidential elections in Lithuania, residents will also vote in a referendum on multiple citizenship. In the referendum ballot, it will be proposed to abandon the sentence currently written in the Constitution: “except for the individual cases provided for by law, no one can be a citizen of the Republic of Lithuania and another state at the same time”. This provision does not allow the preservation of Lithuanian citizenship after acquiring the citizenship of another state.
