Hi, let me introduce myself – I’m Lord, a six-year-old shelter dog who is looking for a new family and a chance to start over. My story had a sad beginning. When I was younger, I used to wander around the village of Prapuolai with a heavy chain around my neck. Life was not easy and I survived many days thanks to the kindness of a local grandmother who sometimes brought me food.
Everything changed when I was noticed and caught by the Lietuva – Gyvūnams organization. They brought me to the “LESŠE” shelter, where I began my journey to a better life. Here I have found a temporary sense of home, but I still dream of a real home where I can feel loved and safe.
I learned a lot about myself during these years at the shelter. I am very friendly and loyal friend of man, I like to communicate and I am very hungry to learn. Different commands, tricks and tasks – all this brings me great joy. I also like active leisure: jogging, games and even simple walks in the park.
Despite my love for people, I must confess that relationships with other dogs are not always easy. My past has created a certain caution and skepticism, which can lead to tension at times. For this reason, I dream of hosts who understand my needs and are ready to help me improve. I would like my future owners to go to the vets with me and take the time to help me get along with my other four-legged friends.
My biggest dream is to find a home where I can feel really needed and loved. I want owners who spend time with me actively and take care of me like a real family member. I want warmth and love that I may never have, but I truly deserve.
I hope there are people out there who need a dog just like me. People who will not only give me a home, but also become a part of my life and I theirs. Together we could create beautiful memories, learn from each other and share endless love.
