Discovering music and getting to know the heroes of the new European music scene – on May 3-4, the free music festival “Europavox” will be held at the capital’s arts factory “LOFTAS”.

This year, the event that delights with new sounds and broadens the horizons of music lovers will offer to get acquainted with talents from seven European countries. The festival of music discoveries, which will last until dawn, will be located on two stages of the festival.

Already from Friday, the artists of the Europavox festival will play with established genre boundaries. On that day, Alo Wala from Denmark, an artist diving between UK garage music, hip-hop and trap genres and deep wordplay, will perform at the festival.

She has already been heard by major music festivals such as “Glastonbury”, “Roskilde”, “Dour”, and now the Lithuanian audience will also get to know this rapidly rising artist.

On the same day, it will be possible to see and hear on stage “Ada Oda” (Belgium), who mix eighties rock and Italian pop cocktail, the indie pop artist Bulgarian Cartrader (Bulgaria), who collects millions of listens, and the trip-hop Parisian duo “UTO” (France).

The Lithuanian contingent is not much more modest – at the festival you will meet the Atticians who have been inflected by foreign music festivals and other industry representatives in recent years: the extravagant and famous “Plié” and the electric pop duo “Superkoloritas”. Also experimenters of genres and sounds – the group “Kesdrostubùras”.

The organizer of the festival, Viktoras Diawara, says that this festival will also be a great opportunity to celebrate a special anniversary for Lithuania: on May 1, we will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Lithuania’s accession to the European Union.

“What better way to make sense of the fact that we are citizens of the European Union and can enjoy unlimited freedom provided by it than by enjoying the latest European music and rising talents of the continent for two days,” he said.

On Saturday, the journey of pleasant musical discoveries around the European continent will continue at the festival. It features multi-instrumentalist and singer Postman (Ukraine), who expands the boundaries of the combination of acoustic guitar, synthesizers and electronic music with his work.

Pianist and composer Mischa Blanos (Romania), who fills both classical music halls and electronic music clubs, will also perform that day. Enchanting and engaging space – this is how music reviewers describe his work.

Along with names from abroad, Lithuanian music will also tickle your ears on Saturday: post-punk representatives Local Blood, who have returned from a European tour, slightly psychedelic and deeply mesmerizing duo Kamanių Šilelis, representative of nostalgic pop Petunija, and electronic music creator Monikaze, who is called one of the most promising European artists. .

Founded fifteen years ago as a media network for European music lovers, Europavox is currently actively shaping the modern European music map by connecting partners across Europe, organized festivals and digital media.

The free Europavox festival in Vilnius on May 3-4 is the Europavox Project, a large-scale collaborative project approved for a four-year period from 2020, initiated by Europavox (France), WUK (Austria), La Botanique (Belgium), part of “INmusic” festival (Croatia), “Estragon Club” (Italy), “Menų fabrik LOFTAS” (Lithuania) and “Control Club” (Romania).
