From the beginning of May, every day, at 1 pm and 7:15 pm, St. In the churchyard of the Church of the Apostles Philip and James or at the approaches to Lukiški Square, you can again listen to the short music concerts of the Vilnius carillon.

According to the organizer of carillon concerts and festivals, artist Jurgis Pauliuks, the 15-minute free concerts feature works written especially for this instrument, classical and popular music melodies.

“The short concerts of the summer season have already become a beautiful tradition, inviting you to pause and calm down during the day’s rush or simply end your lunch break pleasantly. By the way, Lithuanian and foreign tourists also liked them”, says J. Pauliukas.

The music of the carillon installed in the bell tower of the church of the Dominican monastery is played on the occasions of religious, state, historical and city holidays. The International Vilnius Carillon Festival takes place every summer. And since April of this year, the carillon has become a kind of city clock – it counts the minutes and plays specially created melodies every hour. The ideas of the author of this project, J. Pauliuk, were implemented by the famous Japanese carillonneur Toru Takao.

Until October 1 every day at 1 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., free 15-minute concerts will be held in Vilnius.
